Tips and Warning on Making Dentures

If you are planning on making your own dentures, there are some tip and warning that you might want to
follow.

While your making your dentures and the plaster brake you would have to start all over again.

When you are filling the dental tray with the alginate make sure you are standing over a sink. Incase if it spills, it will go into the sink instead of
on the floor.

If you do not plan on filling your cast with the plaster right away, make sure you submerge the cast into hot water. Placing it in hot water, will
prevent the cast to shrink.

It is possible to make another denture from the same plaster mold but you might have to remake the cast of plaster.

It is possible to create gums by using the same technique of making the teeth, the dripping technique.

When you are painting the color of teeth, use a paint that has a grease base. But you have to make sure it is slightly water down.

Using a dremel tool, trim down the teeth if they do not snug fit.

The chemicals used for making dentures are dangerous. When working with the chemicals work
with them on a forced ventilated area.

While making the dentures or handling the chemicals wear a mask and safety glasses.

When you fixing your first cast don't remove the muscle that is between the gum and teeth.

When making your own dentures, make sure you have everything under control for nothing gets spilled or their is an accident. The chemicals for making
dentures are very powerful.
